History
St Dympna’s Cemetery is a historic Catholic burial ground on the Athboy Road just outside Kildalkey. The site has been associated with Christian worship and burial for centuries and contains the remains of a medieval church alongside generations of historic graves. The cemetery was established in its recognised form around 1780 and was later extended to the south to provide additional burial space. Today it remains an active parish cemetery and an important part of Kildalkey’s religious and community heritage.
