About the School
St Dympna’s National School is a co-educational Catholic primary school serving Kildalkey and the surrounding area. Its ethos centres on creating a Christian, caring community where each child is respected, encouraged to develop their individual talents and given a strong sense of confidence and belonging. The school has a long history in Kildalkey. A two-room school was built in the village in 1931, with later extensions added as enrolment increased. The present purpose-built school on the Athboy Road opened in September 2018 and provides modern classrooms, a PE hall, outdoor play and sports areas, and dedicated provision for children with autism.
Sacramental Preperation
The school works closely with Ballivor & Kildalkey Parish in preparing children for the sacraments. Further details are available on the parish Sacraments page.
